This Privacy Policy applies to pdfto.net, operated by Emir Efe ÖNAL.

• Technical connection data and security data such as IP address, request metadata, session identifiers, and server-side logs.
• Contact information you voluntarily provide when contacting pdfto.net.

2. How We Use Information

• provide the document processing tool you request;
• receive, validate, queue, process, and deliver uploaded files;
• apply technical limits such as file-type restrictions, file-size limits, page limits, queue rules, and one active task at a time;
• operate, secure, monitor, and improve the reliability of the service;
• prevent abuse, misuse, fraud, and unauthorized activity;
• comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities;
• establish, exercise, or protect legal rights where necessary.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the relevant activity and the law that applies, pdfto.net may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Performance of a requested service: where processing is necessary to provide the tool you selected.
• Legitimate interests: including service security, abuse prevention, fraud detection, queue management, troubleshooting, and maintaining platform stability.

4. File Handling and Retention

pdfto.net processes files temporarily and is not a permanent storage or backup service.

• Uploaded files and processed files are kept only for temporary processing and download delivery.
• If a processed file is downloaded, the downloadable output is deleted immediately after delivery.
• If no download takes place, temporary files are deleted from the server no later than 2 hours.
• Limited technical and security records may remain for the period reasonably necessary for queue handling, error handling, service integrity, and legal obligations.

5. Recipients and Categories of Recipients

• hosting and infrastructure providers used to operate and secure the service;
• frontend asset providers whose resources are requested directly by the browser, including providers such as Google Fonts and Cloudflare-hosted resources;
• competent public authorities, courts, regulators, or law enforcement bodies where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

We do not sell uploaded files or personal data.

6. International Transfers

The primary application server used for pdfto.net is hosted in Germany.

In addition, some frontend assets may currently be requested directly from third-party providers such as Google Fonts and Cloudflare-hosted resources. When those resources are loaded, the browser may send technical connection data directly to those providers.

Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or safeguard for international transfers, such transfers should be assessed and handled according to the legal framework that applies to the relevant provider, jurisdiction, and processing activity.

7. Is Providing Data Mandatory?

Providing the data needed to upload and process a file is necessary if you want to use the service.

• If you do not provide the file and the related technical data needed to transmit and process it, the selected tool cannot operate.
• Outside the data needed to use the service or contact pdfto.net, you are generally not under a statutory obligation to provide personal data through the website.

8. Security

pdfto.net uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the current service architecture, including HTTPS transport, upload validation, temporary storage controls, and queue-based processing.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. For that reason, users should avoid uploading content unless they are comfortable with the residual risks inherent in online transmission and temporary server-side processing.

9. Your Responsibility for Uploaded Content

You should upload files only if you are legally permitted to upload, process, and convert them.

If your files contain third-party personal data, confidential information, or special categories of personal data, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate legal basis or authorization to use the service for that content. This does not limit pdfto.net's own obligations under applicable law.

10. Your Rights

Depending on the law applicable to the relevant processing activity, you may have rights that can include:

• access to personal data;
• correction or rectification;
• deletion or erasure;
• restriction of processing;
• objection to processing;
• data portability;
• information about recipients and retention;
• withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

Under Law No. 6698, data subjects may also exercise the rights recognized in Article 11.

Where EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies to the relevant processing, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority competent for your place of habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. pdfto.net is not intended to use solely automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on users.

pdfto.net is not intended for children. The service is designed for general users who are legally able to upload and process documents under applicable law.
